How come some people that are supposibly in the military ask questions on here that there fellow soldiers or superiors could probibly answer? Just to clarify I wasnt bashing anyone just curious.:)

Can anyone in the military or know anything about the military answer these questions for me. How is life during the deployment? How do kids act during the deployment? How does deployment effect kids and spouses? How is coming different? How do they talk to the love ones?

So I have decided to join the military. I just have a lot of questions about it. I really don't know what branch to get into and I don't know what to do to get started with the enlisting... I also want to be in school while serving but I don't know anything about that either. Can anyone help with some info and some websites??? i have done some research and i kinda want to do coast guard or navy. maybe air force. i just dont know which is better. and can i be in school on base or is it a one or the other thing? because i want to get into the military soon but i also want to get my education... thats why im just so confused and wanted some help.

I am a 17 year old US citizen and will be graduating from high school at the end of next school year (2011). I am interested in becoming a Marine, possibly even going through PLC and becoming a marine officer. I have asked several questions relating to the military, marines in particular, but did not know if there was a better sight for answering these kinds of questions. Does any one know of any?

I plan on joining the AF next month and before I do so I want to ask the recruiter a lot of important question (general and specific)...I was hoping if anybody can give me any good questions to ask them when I go to the recruitment building...This is an important life decision for me and I just want to ask the right questions...Do anyone have any ideas of what I should asked?

Who have never had any Military experience and just think theyre the ALL-KNOWING-GOD-OF-THE-MILITARY because of Call of Duty? And of those who just want to join because they "just wanna kill/shoot shit"? Opinions Would be great

why is it that almost every question ,that makes sense,concerning the military gets a violation from this website? Hey yahoo answers, does this qualify as a question? I had a very well written and worded question that got 20 well written answers and AFTER I chose a best answer then they deleted it. My husband also has 2 questions deleted and they were about military subjects. This is ridiculous.There are some very disturbing and poorly written questions on this site and they choose to delete my non-contriversial question instead. Hey, if they delete my question ,CAN I GET MY 5 POINTS BACK? I thought about it the other day, and realized that if I had stayed I would be retired now...and looking back at some of the newer things going on, gosh we sure didn't have it that way when I was in...and it scares the heck out of me to be saying "back when I was in...." OMG how did that happen.... Am I the only old fart on here?

I want to get military training, but I have a few questions. 1. Can you get certified training but not actually join the military? 2. How old do you have to be to receive certified training(not join the military)? 3. With this training, what kind of jobs can you get? 4. If you have this training, are you allowed to own any special weapons that would be illegal for the general public to own?
